Michelle Maskaly is a social media marketing consultant, journalist, pet lifestyle, general lifestyle, food and travel writer who has an odd knack for breaking news style reporting. She is the primary author behind the popular pet lifestyle website My Tail Hurts From Wagging So Much and the lifestyle, food and travel website, The Adirondack Chick.
She is also a single 30-something who works in Manhattan, lives in the Adirondacks and has most of her close family in New Jersey. As you can image this scenario results in a lot of weekly travel. It also creates opportunity for entertaining, new adventures, champagne inspired happy hours and many DIY projects.
So why did she call her lifestyle website, "The Adirondack Chick?" Michelle has been coming to the Adirondacks since she was a baby, with Lake George being her home away from home. She would spend countless weekends with her great-grandparents Teresa and Milton Krantzow who owned a home there since the 1940s. Anyone who knew her great-grandmother would agree she was a feisty woman, and would be the quintessential Adirondack Chick - city savvy, with Adirondack charm.
The Adirondacks always represented a place of fun, family, friends, cooking, entertaining, adventure, crafting and the outdoors to her. It was always her goal to own a house in the Adirondacks by the time she was 30 -- with a lot of overtime, a great Realtor and several house heart-breaks later, she bought her first home there when she was 28.
Michelle loves learning and trying new things and is always up for an adventure. Join her as she explore cooking, entertaining, adventure, wine, the outdoors, DIY projects, food, travel, the Adirondacks, Manhattan and New Jersey.
On a professional level, her work has appeared in newspapers and on Web sites such as FoxNews.com, The Star-Ledger, Home News Tribune, Staten Island Advance, The Adirondack Journal, BlogPaws, Beckerman Voices, BlogHer and SILive.com She has interviewed celebrities, political figures, TV personalities and everyday people.
